About Me

MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY 2021
I want to coach by passing on my knowledge and working in partnership with the swimmers and parents. My satisfaction comes from helping to guide and influence young swimmers and seeing them develop as rounded individuals, with a long term love of the sport.
My coaching is guided by my core values. I aim to use these with every athlete;
Care
Good manners
Fairness
Loyalty
Competitive drive
These core values underpin my beliefs which I believe will build a great athlete and also provide life lessons through swimming;
Good skill is fundamental to fast swimming at elite level.
To build a good swimmer/parent/coach relationship.
Develop a positive nurturing environment.
My aim is to develop self-determined/self-reliant swimmers.
Four strokes covering a wide range of distances, creates a multi skilled, dynamic swimming program.
Training speed, is fundamental for competitive swimmers.
