The 26 swimming athletes to represent Britain in this year's Rio 2016 Olympic Games was today revealed by the British Olympic Association.

Adam Peaty, James Guy, Max Litchfield, Ben Proud and Jazmin Carlin have each earned their Olympic debuts after their performances at the 2016 British Championships last week. Siobhan-Marie O'Connor, Andrew Willis and Hannah Miley will also return after their first appearance at the London 2012 Games, again selected after wins in Glasgow.

Georgia Coates will be the youngest member of the squad and Robbie Renwick will be making his third Olympic appearance after achieving a time within 2% of the set benchmark.

Everyone here at the BSCA would like to send our congratulations to all those selected and their coaches, wishing them all the very best in Rio.

We look forward to initiating the new members of the BSCA Roll of Honour at this year's annual conference!
