Wombourne Swimming Club, based in Wombourne South Staffs WV5 8BJ, are looking for a Level 2 / 3 qualified coach. We are looking for someone who can motivate and inspire competitive swimmers. Applicants must hold the relevant coaching qualification, not teaching, and be able to work in the UK.

Wombourne Swimming Club, a Swim Mark and Network accredited club based in South Staffordshire has a vacancy for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Head Coach to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to coach swimmers from all levels from development to Regional, and continue to build a developing coaching team. The role requires an ASA Level 2 / 3 coaching qualification (not teaching).
WSC will offer a competitive rate of pay to the right candidate.
The job is approximately 16 hours per week and sometimes more with galas and open meets.
You will be required to:

  • Work with a number of squads as Head Coach and lead and build a developing team.
  • Attend open meets and galas.
  • Hold or be prepared to undergo a DBS check and hold a current Safe Guarding certificate recognised by Swim England.
  • Be self-employed and must have a permit to work in the UK.
  • Be available to start work ASAP..

Experience:

  • Experience of working with age group, youth and senior swimmers..

Skills required:

  • Hold a Swim England (ASA) Level 2 / 3 Coaching Swimming (not teaching) or have equivalent qualifications.
  • A high level of technical knowledge and understanding of LTAD.
  • Adaptable to work in a team environment and to also work alone.
  • Willing to take on board feedback and have a positive influence on the club training program.
  • Communicate and work effectively to build strong relationships with swimmers, parents, coaches and the committee.
  • Be highly motivated and an inspiring role model for swimmers and parents.
