Julie Douglas sends this reminder to members of the offer she has made:
Dear Swim Coach
Just a polite reminder regarding the request for help in distribution and uptake of the research and related questionnaires regarding parent and athlete interactions in swimming. If you could be so kind as to send a gentle reminder to your swimmers and their parents I would be very grateful. The relevant links are below and pdfed copies are once again attached.
Parents http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/psychology_for_swimming_parents
Swimmers http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/swimmer_survey
Other options to increase the uptake of the questionnaire are below and I would be grateful if you could have a quick read and let me know if any of these are of interest to you or if you feel you would be happy to help in any of the proposed ways:
1) I could print out and post through a number (however many or few you wanted) that you could personally distribute to parents and/or athletes and ask for them back. If you could then post them back I would refund you the postage cost.
2) I could come to the club myself and deliver a 1hr talk to parents and/or athletes (worth over £180) free of charge in return for them filling in the questionnaire. I had been putting a min. number on these talks but would be open to you telling me how many people you could reasonably expect to turn up and then I could decide on the viability of this option.
3) I could come to the club and hand out questionnaires and ask for them back at the end of the session with no talk involved and again no minimum number.
If any of these options are of interest or you are willing to help in any of the suggested ways please do let me know by return email.
I thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.
Kind regards
Julie Douglas
